Nathan has been studying violin at the Conservatoire de Musique de Paris. In 2013, he won the 1st Prize at the 7th International Louis Spohr Competition for young violinists in Weimar. Other awards followed, giving him the opportunity to play with regional orchestras like Orchestre Symphonique et Lyrique de Nancy and Staatskapelle Weimar. He is a member of the Orchestre National de France and he founded the string quartet “Quatuor Gaïa” in Paris. Nathan plays an Alessandro Gagliano lent to him by the Fondation Vatelot-Rampal, Paris.

“I feel very proud and honoured to be invited to participate in the Menuhin Competition. Ever since I have known about the existence of this Competition, which celebrates the memory of one of the greatest violinists of all time, it was my dream to be a candidate one day. Now this dream has come true, and it has made me very happy. I am looking forward to preparing the programme, playing at the Competition and listening to the advice of the prestigious Jury. The preparation will be very demanding, but I'm sure that this adventure will be a wonderful opportunity to improve my violin technique as well as my musical sensibility.”
