Non Aoyama Japan, 13, Junior
Born in Okayama, Japan, Non Aoyama began playing the violin at the age of four and is currently studying under Masaaki Tanokura, Machie Oguri and Takashi Shimizu. In 2016, she won the 1st Prize along with many special awards at the 70th All Japan Students Music Competition. In 2017, she won the 2nd Prize, with the Virtuoso Prize at the 17th Kloster Schöntal Violin Competition in Germany.
“Ever since I started playing the violin, I have been dreaming of being a part of this Competition as a competitor. So I am now very delighted and honoured to be able to participate in this world leading international competition. I'm very thrilled to meet many talented players from various countries, and listen to their excellent performances. I believe this experience will be a huge step to achieve my dream, which is to become a professional violinist. I hope my music will move the hearts of many audience members.”
